In June 2025, the new Vitelliusbad Wittlich opened—a modern combination pool that sets new standards in architecture, function, and technical equipment.
Vitelliusbad Wittlich – Voice alarm and public address systems of the highest standard
With a gross floor area of 4,745 m², a gross volume of 22,937 m³ and a water area of 1,441 m², the pool offers ideal conditions for sports, leisure and events.
At the same time, the building structure places high demands on acoustics, safety and system integration – this is exactly where our expertise came into play.
Challenge: Acoustics meets architecture
Our task: the planning, installation, and commissioning of the voice alarm and public address system (SAA).
What made this project special was the combination of large room volumes, a variable roof construction, and the need to perfectly balance sound quality and safety requirements.
Through detailed acoustic simulations, we were able to ensure during the planning phase that all areas – from the swimming pool to the sunbathing lawn – would have optimal speech intelligibility and homogeneous sound reinforcement.

Technical implementation in detail
- System platform: LDA AudioTech NEO (models 8060, 8250, 4500)
- Planning principles: in accordance with DIN EN 50849 and DIN 14675
- Acoustic simulation: to determine optimal level and frequency distributions
- Integration: vibration- and moisture-optimized installation in the movable roof structure
- Outdoor sound reinforcement: directional loudspeakers for brilliant sound quality with minimal sound emission
- Interface management: secure coupling with building management technology and other safety-related systems
The result is a scalable, maintenance-friendly, and redundantly designed system solution that combines safety, reliability, and acoustic precision in a holistic concept.
Strong together in the project
The Vitelliusbad Wittlich is an example of successful cooperation at all levels – from planning to commissioning.
- Installer: Mohr elektrotechnische Anlagen GmbH – Project management: Stefan Braun
- Planning: Save Audio Solutions GmbH – Melanie Ziska
- System supplier: Gräf & Meyer GmbH – Carsten Krause
- Loudspeaker systems: HK Audio
- Client: City of Wittlich

Conclusion
The Vitelliusbad Wittlich stands for technical excellence, precise acoustic planning, and reliable safety technology.
It shows what is possible when innovative sound systems, standard-compliant voice alarms, and collaborative project work come together perfectly – for a result that is acoustically, functionally, and safely impressive.
Only through close cooperation between all partners it was possible to create a solution that is technically sophisticated, practical, and future-proof.
